Ceramic blasting

For this surface treatment the shot is of ceramic nature. For very mild abrasive blasting we use Zirblast ceramic beads. When using this shot the surface is cleaned and satinized.

For abrasive ceramic blasting we use mostly corundum (aluminium oxide) or aluminium silicate grit. By its high hardness and the sharp edges at the surface of the grit an intense abrasive treatment is possible.

Application of Zirblast
Zirblast is a recently developed blasting grit for cleaning and satinizing surfaces. Zirblast is used in injector- and pressure blasting cabinets. It can be used as a dry or wet blasting grit for practical every ferro and non-ferro type of surface. It is dustfree and has a long lifetime.

Description of Zirblast
White round ceramic beads containing zirconium and silica. Zirkonium sand is the natural base material for the Zirkonium products of our provider. It contains the natural radio-isotopes: U-238, Th-232 and U-235. The products can be delivered in various grain sizes. For this product we have to deal with special rules for its radiation. Special environmental legislation is applicable.
