Microcleanen®

At Microcleaning® the surface is cleaned by shooting off the polluting particles adhering to the original surface, by bombarding the surface with glass beads under strictly defined process conditions. The glass beads hit the surface under an angle of 45 degrees. This is a very careful but effective cleaning method especially useful as pre-treatment for Micropeening®.

Description of the Technique

The Microcleaning® treatment is an alternative cleaning method , whereby dirt and other deposits at the surface of the process equipment are thoroughly disposed of, while defects in the metallic surface are retained and become visible.

Because this mechanical cleaning procedure is very effective maintenance and inspection will profit. Corrosion damage and other surface defects are easy to detect after this procedure.

Because it is of utmost importance that the surface is not roughened specialist have to perform this task while using 98 % pure round glass beads.
